Chadwick Fellowship in Family Violence in San Diego, CA The Chadwick Center on Children and Families uses a multidisciplinary approach to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of child abuse and family violence. Emphasis is placed on the child within a family unit. To that end, the importance of violence between adults in the home is recognized. Therefore, the Fellowship will include learning on domestic violence as well as child abuse and neglect. This is currently a 2 year fellowship which focuses on the following goals: proficiency in evaluation, forensic components and documentation of family violence, effectiveness in teaching on family violence, designing and completing a research project, understanding and participating in the multidisciplinary approach to family violence, understanding administrative issues in family violence programs including quality improvement processes, and learning how to advocate on family violence issues.
