Helfer to Offer Two Pre-Conference Training Institutes in San Diego This January

The Society will present two pre-conference, comprehensive training Institutes January 28 and 29 in conjunction with The Chadwick Center's Annual San Diego International Conference on Family and Child Maltreatment. Select this link for details and registration.

Renew My Membership

To renew your Society membership, select the "My Profile" option under "My Community" in the Member Center. Then, choose the "Go" button next to the "Renew My Membership" text at the top of your profile. You will have the option to pay by credit card or to submit a check.

My Community

This area features your online profile, connections, features and your inbox. You can use the resources in this area to update your profile and settings, subscribe and unsubscribe to the Society listserv, make connections with fellow members, post photos or create circle discussions. This is also where Society members can renew their membership.

An important note regarding the listserv: Messages and attachments are limited to 1MB in size. You will need to reduce large files before they can be sent as an attachment.

Additionally, if you are having difficulty with your listserv subscription, please download Subscribing to and Managing Your Helfer Listserv (E-List) Subscription. This document will provide you with technical information that can eliminate problems such as your being unsubscribed to the system, tips on making sure your listserv messages aren't treated as SPAM, etc.

The Society began publishing an electronic newsletter in April 2013. Member are welcome to submit news for consideration. Select this link for more information.

Educational Archives and Consortium of Helfer

TEACH is an online repository for peer-reviewed educational resources developed by Helfer members for Helfer members. Select TEACH (login required) to access this new member service.

Program Submissions

The submissions process for the 2017 Annual Meeting in Denver, Colorado, is now closed. This portal will re-open next fall when it is time to accept submissions for the 2018 Annual Meeting.

Human Trafficking

The Society's Human Trafficking Committee has created a web page designed to share information on this important issue. It's located in the Member Center. Please visit Human Trafficking (login required) to review this resource.

Member Bulletin Boards

Member Bulletin Boards are for members only. You can use these boards, which are moderated, to post and reply to topics approved by the Executive Committee. Current forums include Prevention Programs and Research Recruitment. The Career Center, under the Employment tab, is also a part of the Bulletin Boards. It will appear below the Bulletin Board topics once a member logs in and visits Bulletin Boards in the Member Center, or the Employment tab.

Society resources include a variety of documents, including Bylaws, Guidelines for Helfer Committees and Web-Based Committee Management Directions, the Online Social Community Guide for this web site, rules for participating in the Helfer Society listserv and directions for subscribing to and managing your listserv account, and additional resources that are deemed to be a value to the membership.
