The University of Utah Department of Pediatrics is offering a 3 year Child Abuse Pediatrics Fellowship in July 1, 2011.  In conjunction with Primary Children’s Medical Center this fellowship is designed to train high quality clinicians, with a strong research background. Candidates should be board certified or eligible in General Pediatrics. This three year curriculum will allow the candidate to be eligible to sit for the Child Abuse Pediatrics Sub board.  Primary Children’s is the only tertiary children’s hospital in the inter-mountain region. A well established child abuse evaluation program has been in place for 30 years, and there is tremendous clinical exposure, multidisciplinary, and community involvement. All pediatric medical and surgical subspecialties are represented on the faculty. The program seeks to train an excellent clinician with superb research  and administrative skills.  An optional Master’s of Science in Clinical Investigation to be offered to a motivated candidate. Advance training in Quality Improvement will also be available.
