The University of Utah Department of Pediatrics offers a 3 year ACGME accredited position as a child abuse pediatrics fellow. The clinical program is jointly supported by the University of Utah and Primary Children’s Hospital, the only level 1 pediatric trauma center in the state. Primary Children’s is a tertiary care medical center serving the entire Intermountain West with patients from many diverse settings and backgrounds. The child abuse program has 4 clinical child abuse pediatrics faculty with extensive and varied qualifications in addition to on-site mental health therapists providing trauma informed, evidence based therapies to trauma exposed children. Fellows have the opportunity to work with clinical partners in the medical and surgical sub-specialties, the medical examiner’s office and with multiple community partners. Additional training opportunities may be available based on candidate interests.

Candidates should be board certified or eligible to sit for the board exam in general pediatrics.
